Ageless Style Isn’t a Trend. It’s a Truth.

There’s something they don’t really tell you about getting older with style…

You don’t stop loving bold looks.
You don’t stop wanting to be seen.
You just get better at hiding it — because somewhere along the way, you picked up the message that “too much” isn’t cute after a certain age. #realtalk

But what if you stopped hiding?

What if “too much” is exactly enough?

This week on the blog, I shared a funky little look that some might say is a bit loud for a wedding — yes, the dress and all the accessories may have been a bit much, but who shows up at  at a wedding looking basic? #girlbye

Who decided style had a shelf life?
Why do we let numbers dictate how many rings we wear on one or both hands? How bright our dress is? Or whether we’re “allowed” to wear boots with a dress layers over jogging pants? You only have one life why does it even matter?

Here’s the thing: style doesn’t have an expiration date.

Ageless style isn’t about following trends. It’s about following your feeling. Yes, follow whatever the FUNK you want to wear. It’s that simple.

It’s about putting on something that feels like you and you alone.
Sometimes that’s a tiny little neck scarf scarf or a bold bright scarf. Sometimes it’s a jacket with spikes on the shoulders or a denim jacket with rips and holes.
Sometimes it’s wearing both at the same time. Yes, Ive worn a leather jacket and a denim jacket wrapped around my waste. Who really cares:)

Sometimes it’s a light tee-shirt and a pair of ragged denim jeans.

Honestly style, at this point in my life, is personal. It’s layered. It’s lived-in. It’s emotional. It’s me dressing like my story isn’t over, because it’s not.

At the end of the day live in your own truth.
