Clothes talk. And yours just might be telling your story.
I don’t know. Don’t care. But you should!
The girls that get it, get it. The girls that don’t… don’t.
It’s easy to get dressed and never really think about it.
To reach for what’s clean, what’s safe, what’s expected.
To follow what’s trending… or worse, follow what others' say “looks right for your age.”
UGH. (Insert scream here.)
But what if you paused for just a second…
And actually, listened to what your outfit /style of choice was trying to say?
No, seriously, pause and listen to your style. Cut out all the noise from the internet (mainly social media), family , friends and anyone who doesn't understand your choice of style.
It's ok to have a style no one understands but you. Perhaps you want to wear jogging pants and t-shirts with heels. And that's ok it's your style and you need to feel it so you can feel good about getting dressed for the day.
Maybe you like wearing big ole' chunky bright orange boots and mix matched clothing, who cares it's your style and if it makes you happy (run Forest run). nopunintended
Sometimes you just want to be seen and not heard.
And that is perfectly normal.
Maybe your rings are a styling point when it comes to your style. And, like me, you pile them on for a funky grungy look. But, most people thinks that's tacky. #girlbye
Maybe that shirt with the little holes in it is your favorite re-style? Who cares it’s your style and it’s worth being celebrated. ( Do you feel the repeat of me screaming (It's Your Style).
Because style is never just fabric.
It’s a mood. A memory. A moment.
It’s you, giving you permission to wear what the FUNK you want.
It’s telling your story, without saying a single word.
So today, I want to invite you to ask yourself something real:
What does your favorite outfit say about you that words never could?
What piece in your closet feels like re-wear — even if it’s not trending on Instagram or
saved on anyone’s Mood board?
Because that piece, my friend, is where your story starts.
Talking about style is not that deep once you learn the theory of what you like and don't like. Yeah! It’s that simple:) This is only my point of view, take what I say with a grain of salt.
